Vinny Fiacco

General Manager
ParkourEDU Level 1 Certified
FMS LVL 2 coach

Vinny is a certified personal trainer through the Athletic Certification Training Commission as well as a level 2 Functional Movement coach through FMS. Born and raised in New York (an Italian guy named Vinny from New York, go figure) he played sports for the entirety of his youth including soccer, baseball, basketball, and track. In college he started playing Ultimate and made that his full-time commitment. He traveled the land looking for worthy opponents, only to find that this was expensive. Upon moving to Colorado in 2010 Ultimate took a back seat to parkour, rock climbing, and general badass-ery. He has been training parkour at APEX since early 2011 and hasn't stopped since. Much of his training background comes from body awareness and the understanding of biomechanics, and he is excited to teach functional fitness to all ages and skill levels including you. Yes, you, the person reading this. What are you waiting for?

I wanna be the very best like no one ever was.

No seriously. I know it's the opening lines to the pokemon theme song but that doesn't change the fact that I want to be the best. Who doesn't? #amiright??

Austin Lutz

ParkourEDU Level 1 Certified

Austin Lutz has been training in freerunning since 2009.  Before he started training, he was an All-State athlete in Track and Field and Football, as well as a point guard in Varsity Basketball.  After high school, he discovered freerunning while attending the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, where he trained there for two years before moving to Denver.  Austin enjoys long kong vaults, long walks on rooftops, dragons, brain washing children into being ninjas, nerd culture, and helping the community grow through teaching and organizing outside training sessions.  He loves big drops, big vaults, big jumps, exploring the city for good training spots, and helping students continue to learn new things and overcome their fears.  And dragons.  Seriously.

Ashton Hanke

ParkourEDU Level 1 Certified

Growing up in the small town of Buena Vista, Ashton was just another scrawny little high school boy. He was a state track athlete, Assassins Creed player, and pretty neat guy. In the near end of high school he discovered that there were parkour gyms in Denver! Even though the gym was over 2 hours away, he committed to at least one day a week coming to Denver from the mountains to train more, and has lived in Denver since 2013. Ashton has been training parkour for over 3 years and considers himself pretty awesome. As an instructor he hopes to change the lives of everyone he meets and teach some really cool stuff.

David Boden

ParkourEDU Level 1 Certified

David grew up in a small town in rural mid-state Illinois. After a life of constant video games where parkour was prevalent, he was inspired to become a real life ninja.

David is a self taught athlete. After six years and much trial and error he has gained a deep understanding of movement. In the fires of failure he has forged himself into a specialist of large leaps, precision landings, and technical jumps. He also favors a good bail.

He likes piña coladas and getting caught in the rain, but he doesn't advertise it that much.

Hi. I like to teach parkour. I'm pretty good. At least I think so. You might not. But that would be mean. Don't be mean.

Hi my name is Andrew. I started training with APEX after watching a TEDTalk about parkour in 2012. Four years after I started parkour, I became an instructor at the age of 16 for APEX . Parkour is one of my many passions. I love being with others who train and enjoy the sport as much as I do, no matter their skill level.

You think you've reached the end... when the student has gone through so many trials and tribulations that the even the stars cannot compare to the energy he has bled forth, to accomplish what he must in the face of agonizing despair and hopelessness. The light at the end of the tunnel shines bright and though he can see it so clearly he knows he cannot reach this illusive and intangible goal that lies just beyond his fingertips... always. Though he may push the boundaries of what one may perceive as the ethereal fabric of reality, he quickly realizes that one can never achieve that status that he so desperately fights for with his every dying breath. Yes, he is dying, as we all must depart from this miserable yet oh so pleasant quagmire that we call life. He looks to the dark, lonely night sky, it's vastness draining his soul of any false sense of self-righteous significance, and he asks himself...
Can the student ever truly become the master?

Jake quickly wins the hearts of all he meets.

Jake is known best for his love of bacon, mad hops, fast rhymes, ability to do anything, sick beats, and stunningly good looks.

Jake would like to remind you that Jake did not write this bio himself, and that other people genuinely think these nice thoughts about him.

Not Jake.

Kristine Dietrich

ParkourEDU Level 1 Certified

A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Kristine grew up a die-hard Cardinals fan. There she spent 10 years doing competitive Gymnastics and thus began her love for movement. She moved to Colorado in the fall of 2009 to attend The University of Denver and A year or so later she was introduced to parkour and APEX. Unlike a lot of people, Kristine wasn't immediately hooked as she found parkour extremely intimidating. However, the spring floor at APEX Denver enticed her to stick it out for a while and the community spirit made her feel welcome. Parkour gave Kristine an invaluable outlet for the stresses of school and APEX became a refuge. She recently graduated from DU with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and is currently working in Colorado helping to design and build a spaceship. Oh and T-rexs, bad humor, and crazy socks are awesome.
